Affected residents are asked to run their bathtub faucets first, then any utility sinks, and then any other sinks for 15 minutes to ensure that their lines have been properly flushed.
Montgomery County Environmental Services also urged affected residents to discard any ice made during the order and not to use chilled water lines in refrigerators.
